In 2017, I was living a life that looked perfect from the outside. I spent money freely, not realizing the value of time, and I felt like I was just going through the motions.

But deep down, I knew something was missing. I wasn’t living for myself; I was living up to others’ expectations, without any real purpose.

Then, one day, something changed. I started thinking about how I could make my life better.

That’s when I stumbled upon a documentary called “The Minimalists” by Joshua Fields Millburn and Ryan Nicodemus on YouTube. As I watched it, everything suddenly clicked. I realized that simplicity was the key to true happiness.

I decided to dive deeper into minimalism and apply it to different parts of my life. I asked myself important questions:

  • How can I clear out distractions in my mind?
  • How can I simplify my life?
  • How can I become a better version of myself?
  • How can I improve my life overall?

These questions became my guide as I embraced minimalism and made positive changes. This quote resonates deeply with me.

“Everything is possible but everything is not necessary.”

Over the next six years, I learned so much about myself. It was a crucial time of growth and self-discovery. I found answers to three important questions:

  1. who I am?,
  2. what do I value?
  3. what I want to become.

Minimalism has its ups and downs, but I’ve come to understand what truly matters in life. I’ve learned to focus on the things that bring me joy and fulfilment. And through it all, I’ve become a minimalist, living a simpler, more meaningful life.
